PROTON DOME FAQs
Q. What is the different between a Proton Dome and other Domes?
A. The Proton Dome is affordable, within the reach of modest
incomes. It has straight walls on the lower twelve feets, plus
a dome with the height of eighteen feet. The Proton Dome uses
standard sized materials available at most lumber years. The
twelve outer walls, with the dome hemisphere are entirely self-supporting.
Q. I live in Quebec. Will the Proton Dome handle the cold and
heavy snow loads and strong winds?
A. Snow does not build up on the dome, so snow load is not a
factor with Proton Dome. Proton Dome has three inches of foam
sprayed inside the dome, plus one inch of zonalight for fire
protection. Winds flow easily around the Proton Dome, much like
an aircraft wing. The Proton Dome shape is a continual arch,
one of the strongest structures available.
Q. Does Proton Dome sell kits?
A. Yes, kits may be ordered from Proton Dome.
